They're all a bunch of hippies helicopter parents are "hoverers " they are up thier kids butts 24/ 7, don't allow much freedom for expression or learning on their own AP - are parents who believe in nothing but positive parenting. No spanking, no saying no, only positive enforcement and reinforcement. They also believe there can never be too much attachment. These are the kids that likely go on to be serial killers of their parents Free Range - are the ones that let their kids do whatever they want, don't believe in "childproofing " their homes, and believe in letting kids learn from their own mistakes

"Free Range " -- a little too much trust "Helicopter mom " -- no trust "Attachment Parenting " --- dependency problems (in my opinion). Hope that helps!

Free Range - Letting children out of their cages instead of keeping them cooped up and watched constantly. Basically allowing them the kind of childhood anyone over 20-25 probably had, that has all but disappeared ever since the 90's when... Helicopter Parenting took over. Helicopter parenting means watching and controlling every second of your kids life, no freedom, no independence, no decisions, no opinions, any potential obstacle for the child taken out of the equation. AP means treating a child as a person instead of a possession and rejecting the "babywise " crap that fosters abuse, detachment and indifference between parent and child.

Free-range parenting- Letting your children do things on their own. This method of parenting lets the child learn from his mistakes and giving him freedom to do as he would like. Supposedly building self confidence. Helicopter parenting- When parents treat there child as they were much younger then what they are dictating there every movement. they control everything the child does. AP- is a parent wearing their children constantly and even sleeping with them. They literally attach themselves to their children.
