Heck no, rainy walks can be fun. Don't worry about what other people think. |

No. It will happen in their lives. |

Lol...some of the best memories I have of my childhood revolve around playing in the rain, but not quite as clean and dry as your kids sound :) As long as there isn't a threat of lightening and they aren't freezing, I don't see the harm. |

Thats not bad parenting at all :) wish my mum did that. when it rains where i live i'm forced to stay inside. its as much to walk in the rain as it is to walk in the sun = D |

Not at all. My parents use to let me go outside and play in the rain. As long as there was no lighting or thunder. You get sick from viruses, Not the rain. Besides once kids get to a certain age, they can express any discomfort they may be feeling. |

It's only bad parenting if you DON'T let them jump in the puddles. |

No it isn't bad parenting..........older ppl are going to think they will catch a cold that will cause their death. A couple of weeks ago we went camping (have an RV) and it came a huge hard rain, after that it was sprinkling. The ditch across from our camper was full of water and Emma and Laura had a heck of a time playing in it. It was hilarious. |

Its not like it was -3 degrees outside and you sent them out in bikinis! Lmbo, people are so strange nowadays, and everyone seems to have strong opinions on other people's parenting skills. I think its great that you and your children found a way to pass the time on a rainy day! |

Every time hurricane season hits, we live close enough to the coast to get a good rain but far enough away that it isn't violent. I always take my daughter out to play in that rain! If it's chilly she puts on a jacket. But if it's not cold outside, I take my cell phone and wallet out of my pocket and we both get drenched! ... We play in lighter rains too. But the hard rain that accompanies hurricane season brings a lot of laughter and smiles! It is not bad parenting. It is the creation of fun memories! A lot of people think kids will get pneumonia or at least a cold if you take them out in the rain. ... Maybe some kids have weaker immune systems. But the average kid should be able to handle a walk in the rain. ... Just don't take them out when there's lightning or it's real cold. |
